Youth

This sculpture captures the boundless optimism
of youth; hopeful and looking forward to whatever
comes next.  

As I was sculpting this lovely teen, I got the feeling
that she was listening to her own inner voice
whispering in her ear.  

She seemed poised to take off – who knows in
which direction life will take her.  

I tried to capture her look of openness to all life
has to offer so evident in her face.
