Welcome to the Sculpture Gallery Terra cotta The feel of clay is magical. It’s almost like kneading bread. Painted patinas are applied to the fired sculptures and allow for an endless variety of finishes; from matt to high-gloss, from verdigris green to bronze, and anything in-between. The best part... the patina process allows me to pull out my paintbrushes again! Alabaster In 2010, I started carving Alabaster. Working in stone is a new challenge. The stone itself is beautiful. If I can add even a little to that beauty, I am happy. Bases For bases I often use rough granite pieces. I have a fondness for these stones because they remind me of the granite boulders that I climbed on as a child. |
